DAY 29
Papa left on a plane early in the morning which means it is just the four of us for the rest of the trip, which is only about one more week. We're all starting to get a little homesick, so it's probably good that we are starting our trek back east.
Our destination for today was Thermopolis, WY. The town is home to the largest mineral hot springs in the world and has a well known dinosaur center. It is a little off the beaten path compared to the national parks which was kind of nice. The drive was through some beautiful country including the Wind River Canyon. When we got to Thermopolis, we went to Star Plunge which has three water slides and several pools that are all fed by the hot springs. The water slides were super fun and a welcome change of pace.
How fun, it's very crazy how the water can be so warm coming out of the ground! Can you imagine what the native Americans must have thought.
